crazy busy

This week began crazy and has stayed crazy.

Monday was thrown all to heck with a mandatory barracks inspection that took all morning. This really threw off my routine.

Today, was full of random tasks that apparently had to be done right away. Typical Marine Corps.

Tomorrow and the rest of the week is full of random training like gas chambers and other annual classes.

In the middle of all this is a bunch of college work that I Haven't even begun to tackle yet.

In other words, my usual routine is completely jacked up this week and I really don't like it.

Luckily God has helped me stay focus through it all which has essentially kept me sane.

Well thanks for reading my rant. Later

Decisions

So I have some pretty big decisions to make in the next couple of months.

First decision, what college to attend next summer when I get out of the Marines next summer. Go to the University of North Florida or the University of Texas? So what's the big deal, why is it that big of a decision? Well, its complicated... which family to be closer to, accreditation of the program, the housing situation, potential reserve stations, etc etc.

One thing is for sure... my major, construction management. Ya, I figure I should stick to something I'm good at, management and building stuff.

Well, I'm just throwing out the stuff that's rolling around in my head. If this is boring you then change sites.

Testing New App

Just got the official android Blogger app and this this is the first post.

So its obviously been a couple months, I guess the biggest update in my life is that my son is due next month. So excited to hold him in my arms for the first time.

Oh ya, another new thing is that I am accepted to the University of North Florida. This is one of two colleges I applied to, the other being the University of Texas.

Other college news is that I will be getting my associates in December from Thomas Edison State College. I've been working pretty hard on this and will be very happy to achieve this small but significant education goal.

Till next time. Peace!

Apologies Due

Well its been almost 4 months since I've posted anything and I believe an apology is do. But I'm not good with saying sorry so u can forget that idea.

I will give you an update though. My family is set to grow by one come this December with the addition of my first child, a little boy! Super excited for this great adventure called parenthood.

I am extremely thankful that God has blessed me and my wife with a child. God has definitely worked a miracle in this area because according to the Dr's I only have about a 5% chance of having kids. So, after praying and trusting God for nearly 4 years He has finally answered my prayers with a wonderful little boy due in December. Thank you so much God.

As for politics, its the primaries season here in Florida. ill be voting early, probably some time next week. I really hope we can make a change in Washington in this year's general elections.

Another big update coming this fall is my Associates degree from Thomas Edison State College. Not a BA but its a step in the right direction.

I think that's about it for now. ill come up with some better content for you next time. Take care.

God's Comfort

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have recieved from God.

For just as the sufferings of Christ flow over into our lives, so also through Christ our comfort overflows.

And our hope for you is firm, because we know that just as you share in our sufferings, so also you share in our comfort.

Today's Prayer

Vindicate me, O Lord, for I have led a blameless life; I have trusted in
the Lord without wavering.

Test me, O Lord, and try me, examine my heart and my mind;
for your love is ever before me, and I walk continually in your truth.

I wash my hands in innocence, and go about your altar, O Lord,
proclaiming aloud your praise and telling of all your wonderful deeds.

I love the house where you live, O Lord, and the place where your glory
dwells.

My feet stand on level ground; in the great assembly I will praise the Lord.

Conservative Victory by Sean Hannity

The United States President, Barrack Obama. You know who he is and you've seen his performance so far. The question is, are you concerned with who he is and what he has done?

If you're like me, then you're extremely concerned! But you're even more concerned with the future and what you can do about it.

Sean Hannity has recently released Conservative Victory, this is a book about our President that might help you understand who he is, why he makes the choices he makes.

Conservative Victory is a compelling and informative read that should spark a fire deep inside you to vote in the upcoming elections, especially the Presidential election of 2012!

Randomness Galore!

For those of you who may be thinking that my last posting about oil importation was extremely random... I agree!

I was browsing the wonderful WWW and came across the oil import data and it intrigued me. I'm sure this was brought on by a book I read a few weeks back, The First Billions the Hardest by T Boone Pickens, in which Mr. Pickens tells the story of his rise and fall in the oil business as well as his ideas for America's energy independence in the future.

Reasoning aside, the data is alarming, and it proves that energy independence really should be a serious and immediate goal for America. Currently that's not the case, it is on the agenda, however it doesn't seem to be very important right now.

Washington only seems to be concerned with forcing socialist ideology down our throats while chanting "Yes We Can" and not the real problems threatening America, like the economy, jobs, national debt, foreign policy, etc etc.

While Washington is busy brewing more socialist bills and taking away our rights, America is awakening and preparing itself for another battle in the war... 2010 midterm elections.

Pledge of Allegiance

Check out this news article from CNN.
http://www.cnn.com/2010/POLITICS/03/11/pledge.of.allegiance/index.html

I must say I'm a little surprised, but super glad that the 9th Circuit of court of appeals ruled in favor of upholding the pledge of allegiance.

Viva Common Sense!!!

"I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America, and to the republic for which it stands, one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

Social Networking

Why is it that social networks are so addicting? I don't get it, they have absolutely no real purpose in life, yet I have to check these ridiculous sites several times everyday. What makes it even worse is they run slow half the time. Very frustrating.

Ok, I know it's been a little while since I have posted. You must forgive me, I was helping out my sister with a contest that required her to advertise on a blog for one of her favorite authors. Thus the really strange profile photo and Linger promotional posting that has been up for the last week.

Tomorrow, I will post about something a little more worth while. But for now I figured I would put your minds at ease and let you know that I haven't completely forgotten about you.

P.S. Yes I did surrender my "Man Card" to help out my Sister, hey what can I say... she pulled the "family" card on me!

Who is The Little Guy?

You may be wondering who is The Little Guy and why does he have a blog? Well, my name is Tyler and I have created this blog for the purpose of expressing my ideas about...everything. Let me explain what "everything" is. Everything is anything on my mind at the moment of typing. Most likely whats on my mind while typing will be some sort of ridiculous political blasphemy from Washington. That's right this is another political blog, but WAIT don't close the page! Read a few posts and see what you think, you might actually like my point of view. Ok, what is my point of view? That will probably change from week to week, post to post. Most likely my point of view will be similar to yours, but I can promise you that I will not give you the "politician's point of view" (which ever view gets me elected then immediately change it once in Washington). Why won't I have a "politician point of view"? It's simple, I'm not running for office! Ok, enough rambling! This shall be enough for my first post, but have no worries, tomorrow I'll post something actually worth reading, I promise!
